Photo Policy for Junction Motor Speedway

1. Access

Agreement. All  photographers and video personnel must sign the Junction Motor Speedway (JMS) Photo Policy to be granted access to shoot any event at JMS. By Signing below, you are accepting and agreeing to the terms of JMS Photo Policy and accepting the grant of a limited license by JMS to enter the JMS premises and shoot events at JMS. Use and reuses of all images shot is governed this JMS Photo Policy and by the sanctioning organizations rule book. Nothing herein constitutes a license to use marks of third parties, or authorizes you to use names, image or likeness of any recognizable person, whether a participant in the race or a spectator.

Credentials. A "Restricted Photo Access Pass" is necessary to enter the Restricted Photographers Area. It must be worn and easily visible at all times and is not transferable. A release and waiver of liability must be signed in order to receive a Restricted Photo Area Pass. JMS reserves the right to approve or deny all credential requests, and revoke credentials, prior to or during any event. A fee may be charged by JMS.

Dirt Track. Photographers are not allowed access to the infield during pace laps, caution laps or during green flag laps at anytime. Photo access to the starter's flag stand is available only by special permission from both JMS and event sanctioning organization.

Violation/Revocation. Violation of any part of this policy will result in immediate revocation of privileges, and possible legal action, in the sole discretion of JMS.

 Conduct

Compliance with the Direction of JMS; Non-Interference with Event. Photographer shall not interfere or impede any spectators, other media personnel, the conduct of the race, any part of the event, the video taping of the race and shall follow all instructions of JMS personnel directing the race. 

Precautions/Dangers. Performance in racing is measured in seconds. Be safe. Do not take your eyes off the racing vehicles.

Attire. For access to the trackside photo area, shirts (fully-covered shoulders) must be worn and  shoes with closed heels and toes must be worn (no open toed shoes, sandals, clogs, slides, etc.).

Courtesy. The Photo Area is a working area. Please be courteous to your colleagues and leave the area when you are not working. 

ACCREDITATION; USE OF IMAGES

Legitimate Media Assignment Required. Only accredited photographers on assignment for JMS - recognized news media outlet or other JMS - accepted media outlets will be permitted to photograph events at JMS. JMS does not recognize photo agencies or freelancers as media and may in its sole discretion determine who is or is not JMS-recognized.

No Web Site Proprietors.

Contemporaneous News Required. All photography use is restricted to reasonably contemporaneous newsworthy usage only, and reuse is prohibited except with express written permission of JMS.

No Freelancing. Freelance photographers are not permitted without specific assignment from a JMS-recognized media outlet, and as expressly permitted by JMS. A credential is required.

No Commercial Use. All use and reuse of all images obtained at all events at JMS for commercial ventures is prohibited without express written permission from JMS, and pursuant to a written license agreement issued by Junction Motor Speedway.
