Things couldn't be much better last
Saturday Night at JMS with a slight breeze, low humidity, and a great Super Late

The
4 Cylinder class began the feature order for the night with Nosker taking the
lead right away in the double zero car. Mallet Meyer passed him around the third
lap into the race with Lance Hiebner pulling up in second. By the eleventh lap,
Hiebner was off the pace and Nosker, Pedersen, and Sheldon Sandall moved up to
make the top four. By the last lap, Sandall had battled his way up to second
place with Nosker and Pedersen crossing the line in that order. Mallet Meyer
took home the win and
advanced in points as
well—it will be interesting to see who will be the 2009 4 Cylinder points
Champion.
The JMS Cruisers made
it 15 laps green to checker with the Vic's Repair car (69j) taking the lead
after the second lap into the race. Jacobitz' held the lead until the checkered
flag came out with 42b (Ekeler/ Miller) passing the 99 (Kassik/Miller) to make
up the top three.
Jason Wilkinson had a
great night by taking home both wins in the NASCAR Stock and Hobby Stock
divisions both sponsored by
NAPA
. Not only having multiple wins in
each division, Jason is currently leading the JMS points for both classes as
well. Rocky Zimmerman and Brent Kassik completed the top three positions for the
Hobby Stock A-Main, and Jason Van Winkle and Jeremiah Slough made up the top
three spots for the Stock Car A-Main.
The
NASCAR Modifieds sponsored by Steele Rubber Products was a great race to watch.
The past weeks' feature winner, Kyle Berck, was down in
Oklahoma
racing in an NCRA Late Model show. Robert "Buzz"
Wilson
took a jump on the lead until Andy Wilkinson began giving him a run for his
money. Meanwhile, Blochlinger was battling for third with
Scott
Styskal and later passed him with 5 laps into the race. From that point on
Blochlinger and Wilson battled it out until the end, with Staci Stava (53)
working her way up to third place from the back of the pack. With the top two
battling the remaining
laps, Blochlinger was
able to pull away with the win on the last stretch of the race and Buzz took
home second place.
To finalize the night,
all 23 Super Late Models were on the pace to fight it out for the win. Joe
Kosiski driving the 53 car was able to come out strong in the lead and later
work his way up through lap traffic. Meanwhile,
the 17 of Dave Livingston was not going to give up while running in second place
a few seconds behind the leader. 1W of Mike Wiarda and 6 Al Humphrey were
battling there way around the track in third and forth place with Travis Dickes
in 5th driving the 21T. With only a few cautions in the race, and cars spread
throughout the whole track, and Joe pulled off a great win with
Livingston
holding a strong second place finish.
