Pageant Competition Rules & Entry Form

1. Contestant must be a female, at least 18 years of age at the time of entry filing.
2. All contestants must be pre-registered. A properly completed entry application must be filed. There will be a maximum of 10 contestants accepted. Entrants accepted will be notified via e-mail.
3. Contestant must furnish;

        a.             one 8” x 10” color photograph of herself, which Junction Motor Speedway                                                          has permission to use and release as needed.

        b.             an essay of 200 words or less, on why they want to be Ms. Junction Motor                     Speedway.

        c.             completed information and profile sheet for the Master of                   Ceremonies(will be mailed to contestant upon approval of entry)

4. Throughout the contest, conduct deemed to be improper and/or detrimental to the image of Junction Motor Speedway will not be tolerated and shall be cause for immediate disqualification.

5.     When scoring, the judges will take into consideration – personality, appearance,                 poise in front of   the public and racing knowledge. Contestant agrees to the following:

        a.             one-on-one interviews with the Master of Ceremonies

        b.             impromptu questions relating to auto racing involvement/knowledge

        c.             stage/contest appearances, as follows: (note: JMS reserves the right to                                         disallow any outfit not in good taste)

                        1. Sportswear (classy and sporty)  2. On the Town (cocktail dress or club wear)

        d.             a memorized one-minute speech outlining her intent, if chosen as Ms. JMS Queen 2008.

6.     Contestant agrees that the decision of the judges, and the scoring system, shall be final, without     appeal, dispute or question.

7.     Judges, through individual ballots, will determine Ms. Junction Motor Speedway and a first              alternate. 1^st Place ($250.00, trophy, tiara)  First Alternate (trophy, tiara)

8.     Ms. Junction Motor Speedway will –

        a.             be required to attend the 2008 & 2009 Junction Motor Speedway special  events and  participate in victory lane ceremonies:  ‘08 King of the Hill Late  Model  Shootout, ‘08           McCool 100, Year End Banquet, ’09 Cornhusker Midget Challenge,  and 2009 Ms.                        Junction Motor Speedway Pageant

        b.             be required to wear appropriate wardrobes for all Junction Motor Speedway related  appearances

        c.             a Season Pass to Junction Motor Speedway for the remainder of the 2008 year

9.     The First Alternate will be expected to fill in for the 1^st place winner if they are unable to make  one of the events, and in these situations will receive the same benefits as the winner.

10.  Pageant winners agree to represent Junction Motor Speedway for one calendar year and promise to represent the track in a most professional manner. Winning contestants agree to verbally promote   and support Junction Moor Speedway and other relevant sponsors at all public functions and in all  interviews relating to racing activities.  Winners agree to conduct themselves at all times with due regards to public morals and standards.
