RULE
BOOK DISCLAIMER
The rules and/or regulations set
forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events
and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules
shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events,
all participants are deemed to have compiled with these rules. NO
EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR
COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a
guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury
or death to a participant, spectator, or official.
The race director
shall be empowered to permit reasonable and appropriate deviation from any of
the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his opinion
do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED
WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS.
Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the
officials. Their decision is final.

ROOKIE
QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered a rookie, a driver may have only made
a maximum of five starts in this division in their entire career. To qualify for
Rookie of the Year, the driver must compete in at least 75% of the scheduled
events. The rookie winner will be determined by how many total points they
accumulate through out the season. If there is a tie the winner will be
determined by most wins, seconds and so forth.
This is an entry level
division that is designed to be Affordable
and fun racing. At any time track officials may alter the rules to
enhance competitiveness.
All cars must be 4 cylinder, front
wheel drive. All cars must remain Completely
STOCK bumper to bumper.
ROLL CAGE
- All cars must have a four point roll
cage with three (3) door bars on the left side and two (2) door bars on the
right side. They cannot extend through the front or rear bulk head.
- All bars must be welded 360 degree’s
and gusseted. Bars must be securely fastened.
- Front Bars must follow the contour of
windshield.
- All tubing must be a minimum of 1 ¾"
x.095.
- Driver must have 2" of clearance above helmeted
head.
BODY
- Windshield must be removed and
replaced with hail screen and
four (4) 2" x 1/8" straps
or better in front of the driver..
- All glass and plastic must be removed.
- All doors and trunks must be bolted or
Pinned shut. Front hood pins are recommended.
- All cars must have an 18"
high number on both sides and on the roof. Numbers must be easy to read from
the scoring booth. For 2006 all cars must be
painted or neat in appearance. Numbers must be contrasting in color and easy
to read.
- Body must remain stock. No altering or
spoilers.
INTERIOR
- All interior must be removed, dash is
optional.
- All air bags must be removed. PLEASE CONSULT
AS CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN BEFORE ATTEMPTING REMOVAL
- Bars within drivers reach must be
padded.
- No metal panels may be removed.
- All holes in firewall must be covered
with metal.
- No boxing in of interior.
BUMPERS
- Bumpers must be approved OEM in OEM
location. Front and rear tow hooks are mandatory.
ENGINE
- 4 Cylinder Non-Turbo.
- Must use stock exhaust manifold.
- Batteries may remain in stock location,
if battery is relocated it must be in a covered marine battery box.
- Engine and all components must remain
stock.
- Differential must remain stock.
SUSPENSION
- No altering of any suspension
components.
- All parts must remain stock.
- All parts and components must be in good condition.
BRAKES
- All four (4) wheels must have properly
operating brakes.
- No three (3) wheel setups or
modifications.
WHEELS & TIRES
- Stock factory wheels for the particular
make and model of car only.
- Right front wheel reinforced, oversized
lug nuts required. Stock dimensions may not be changed.
- Tires may be 65, 70, or 75 series only
and must be DOT approved
- No winter or rough tread tires.
- No grooving or altering of tires.
- All four (4) tires must be the same
size. I.E. 205/75/R14
SAFETY
- Aluminum Racing seat only
is mandatory.
- Must have a 5-point quick release
racing harness (2000 or newer).
- Harness and seat
must be securely attached in an approved manner.
- A Window net with latches accessible
from outside car is mandatory.
- Must have an operational fire
extinguisher securely attached.
- Must have a collapsible steering shaft.
- Removable steering wheel is
recommended. (Must be Metal Coupler).
- It is mandatory
that drivers door bars be plated. Steel doorplates,
18-gauge or .049-inch minimum thickness must be securely welded to outside
of door bars on driver’s side. Plate must cover area from top door bar to
rocker panel and from rear down post to five inches in front of seat. Must
be visible for inspection.
- Fuel cells are recommended but if not
used fuel tank must have a skid plate.
- Any car may be refused the opportunity
to race if safety equipment is deemed unsafe.
AGE AND DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum driver age is thirteen,
(13). Under age drivers will need to
attend practice day or pre race hot lap sessions for determination of
qualifications and comfortability of the driver with the car and track.

Protest Procedures
The
following Protest Procedures are only in affect for regular points races at
Junction Motor Speedway. These rules will not apply for any specials
held at Junction Motor Speedway unless otherwise stated.
In
order for a driver to protest a car they feel is not conforming to the rules in
the class which they are competing, the following procedures must be followed:
The driver must have qualified and competed in the A feature of that nights
races.

Only
a driver may protest another car.

The
protesting diver must contact a JMS Official with in five (5) minuets after
the A feature has completed.

The
protesting driver must have three hundred ($300.00) dollars in cash on
him/her and give it to the JMS Official at the time of making the protest
-
The
JMS Officials will determine where the protest is to take place.

Only
the JMS Officials, the protesting driver and one pit crew member and he
protested driver and one pit crew member will be involved in the procedure. NO
INTERVENTION BE ALLOWED BY ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL. THERE WILL BE A FIVE FOOT
BARRIER AROUND THE PROTEST AREA. ANYONE AND THIS MEANS FANS CREW MEMBERS
OTHER DRIVERS, ANYONE OTHER THAN THE DESIGNATED PEOPLE COME CLOSER THAN THE
FIVE FOOT BARRIER OR IN ANY WAY IMPEDES THE PROTEST PROCEDURE IN ANY WAY
VERBAL OR OTHERWISE, THE CAR BEING PROTESTED WILL LOSE ALL POINTS AND MONEY
FOR THAT NIGHT.

JMS
OFFICIALS will have at their disposal al necessary equipment to test or
check any alleged discrepancies in the rules. Junction Motor Speedway will
not advocate but may chose to tear a piece of equipment down if it is deemed
necessary. Cost, implementation, and infraction of penalties will be issued
on a case by case basis if equipment is torn down.

If
the protestor is found valid in their complaint that driver will have their
three hundred ($300.00) dollars returned.

If
the car being protested is found to be illegal, the driver will lose all
points and money earned that night.

If
a car is found guilty on another rules violation from that point on during
the season, that car will lose all points for the season to that date of the
second infraction. The car will also lose all money for that night of racing
and lose all qualifications for the season to the point of the second
infraction qualifying the driver for year end points money.

If
the protestor's claims are found invalid Junction Motor Speedway will keep
the $300.00 and that money will go into the point fund for that class.
Decisions of track officials are final and
binding without exception
